NRAO Provided Airport Transportation
Please Note
May 28th, when most of you arrive, is Memorial Day and NRAO is closed.
Transportation from the Albuquerque airport
NRAO will provide transport between Albuquerque Airport and Socorro on
Monday, May 28th only.
The times of these buses were set to best match the flight arrival times
of the workshop participants. More information will be available the
end of May.
Be sure to check this page right before you start your
trip to Socorro, as schedules might change.
The current schedule is:
- On Monday May 28: Leave airport at approximately 3:30pm, 7:30pm and 10:30pm. Look
for a Paradise Tour Bus. The greeter will direct you to the bus.
- There will be a "sweeper" van which will pick up people who arrive after 10:30pm.
We will have greeters at the Albuquerque airport.
PLEASE CONTACT A GREETER WHEN YOU
ARRIVE. The greeter will direct you where to go when the buses arrive and can assist
you in other ways (e.g., look after your luggage while you go get something to eat).
The greeter has a list of people that need to be picked up, if you arrange
other transportation, please tell the greeter. The greeter will be on the baggage
claim level, near the escalators. Look for an NRAO sign.

The trip takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
Transportation to the Albuquerque airport
NRAO will provide transportation to the airport on the
evening of Tuesday, June 5th and Wednesday, June 6th only.
The
tentative schedule is as follows:
- On Tue June 5th: Leave Socorro at approximately 6:30pm.
- On Wed June 6th: Leave Socorro at approximately 7:00am and 11:00am.
If your flight is early Wednesday morning take the Tuesday evening bus and stay in an
airport hotel.
The trip takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
