How to subscribe to GCNEWS?
There are three ways to get the subscription form and to subscribe to
GCNEWS. Please choose one of them, also if you have moved or otherwise
want to update your profile. After your subscription has been
received you will get a short email with your data record, as it is
stored in our data base. From this point on you will get the next
issues of GCNEWS and GCNEWSflash. To unsubcribe send us an email with
the keyword unsubscribe in the Subject line (and sooner
or later we will remove you from the service).
A) Web Form
A Web Forms-interface is available. This is the fastest and easiest way
to subscribe.
Click here and fill out the fields.
B) Downloading Email Form
You can download a subscription
form to be sent by email, save this file as an ASCII file using
the File menu of your Web-browser and fill it out. Then send it as an
email to gcnews@aoc.nrao.edu
with the words "subscribe" as the first word in the
subject line. In UNIX this looks like
mail gcnews@aoc.nrao.edu
Subject: subscribe
~r subscription-form.txt

C) Email only
Just send an empty email with the words "subscribe" as the first word in
the subject line to gcnews@aoc.nrao.edu:
mail gcnews@aoc.nrao.edu
Subject: subscribe

After a while you will receive the subscription form per email. Please
"reply" to this email, include the form, fill it out, and send it back.
(The system tolerates ">" in front of each line which are often produced
by mailers when including mails in a reply.)
