Theoretical modelling of hot stars
Najarro, F.
Instituto de Estructura de la Materia, C/ Serrano 121, 28006 Madrid, Spain
ABSTRACT:
Recent progress in model atmospheres for hot stars will be presented.
A new generation of NLTE wind blanketed models, together with high
S/N spectra of the hot star population in the central parsec which are
being obtained will yield metal abundance determinations (Fe, Si, Mg,
Na, etc). These results will provide major constraints not only on the
theory of evolution of massive stars but also to solve the puzzle
of the central parsecs of the Galaxy.
