A greyscale continuum image of a small segment of G359.1-0.5 at a
wavelength of 6cm with a resolution of 5'' * 3''. The filamentary
Snake appears to cross the remnant. The position of the OH (1720 MHz)
maser is drawn as a contour with a size 20 times bigger than the
actual value (Yusef-Zadeh, Uchida and Roberts 1995, see article in GCNEWS). The position angle of the
maser represents the direction of the anisotropy of the scatter
broadened maser source.
