This series of images shows a imaging session of a 30 sec
A-configuration VLA snapshot of a gravitational lens at 3.6 cm.
The poor uv-coverage and the weakness of the source make this
difficult, but the point-source nature of the object helps the
modelfitting. Above L-R: (1) uv coverage; (2) Dirty Beam; (3) Amplitude vs. uv radius; (4) A low-resolution search image to locate the source. Below L-R: (5) Dirty Image; (6) Residual after subtraction of brightest point model component; (7) Residual after second point subtraction; (8) Residual after third point subtraction. | |||
