Below, in 3 panels, are the roughly annual images of M87 at 43 GHz made using the VLBA. It is clear that the data quality improves with time, mostly because of added bandwidth in the recordings. An interesting result of these observations is that the jet moves side-to-side by a noticeable amount. See the movie and plot on the main page.
