2009 NRAO EVLA ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING
March 19 -20, 2009
Socorro, New Mexico

Committee Charge

The EVLA Advisory Committee is requested to evaluate and report on the following areas:

   Overall progress in the EVLA construction project in terms of schedule, budget and scope, including
     o progress in hardware development & deliverables;
     o progress in outfitting & commissioning of EVLA antennas;
     o the management of budget, contingency funds, and contingency options;
     o progress in meeting the overall project plan.

  The science commissioning plan of EVLA, including the Early Science plan, and comment on
     o the key goals and activities of Science Commissioning;
     o the science-driven priority of the goals and key activities;
     o the schedule of the activities.

  Planning for integrated One Observatory Science Operations that includes the EVLA
     o Scope of the integrated User Support;
     o Areas of special emphasis from the users’ point of view.

We request that the Committee hold an exit interview with the NRAO Director at the conclusion of the meeting, and that it submits to the NRAO Director a written report of its findings and recommendations by April 17, 2009.
