A possible list of 'talking points' could be: 1. Report from Red River: Undoubtedly, some philosophical and other concerns about the viewer were discussed at the AIPS++ meeting. A short report about viewer modifications coming out of the meeting would be useful. 2. Based on the NAUG view improvements memo, here are some topic we could cover: --Viewer speed in general. Where are the limits? Are the suggested speed goals realistic? How to make adjustments more quickly for the more commonly changed viewer parameters? Could and should the viewer also be stand-alone and have input from fits images? --Should we have occasional viewer telecons, perhaps once per 6-month cycle period.? --How to improve the display of multi sets of spectral cubes more easily? --What is the thinking about implementing 'hot-keys' for frequently-used functions. Is the double-click really necessary? --Add more functionality into the viewer such as creating a new subimage displayed by the viewer, combining image cube planes (both visually and on output)? --Storing convenient user actions so that the viewer uses these options on pop-up--including blc, trc.
