The problem of msplot taking far too long to copy the flags has been looked at and the overall improvement in speed is now about a factor of ten. I am finding that for a 3 million row measurement set (VLA 12hr mostly continuum observation) it takes 45secs to copy the flags. Ed was able to reliably reproduce his flagging problem. This allowed me to characterize the problem in more detail. The problem is in the lower level ms tool and will, I expect, be fixed early next week. It manifests itself whenever you select and flag data using some of the available polarizations eg., flagging just RR LL from the full set. The work around is to select and flag using just one polarization or all four. msplot has now been alpha tested on single dish measurement sets. I encourage you all to try it on any measurement sets (synthesis or single dish) that you may have around. The code freeze is the middle of next week and at that point I will not be able to make any more changes to msplot. All severe msplot defects ie., severity one or two, have now been resolved. So please send in some defects or I will be forced to write some documentation (which is badly out of date)! Cheers Ralph
