Subject: Minutes of NAUG meeting

	Meeting of NAUG 3-28-01

	Meeting started a little late due to conflict with Wednesday
lunch. We will move the meeting time 30 minutes later from now
on: 1:30pm MT 3:30pm ET, every fourth Wednesday.

	It was announced that Frazer Owen will take over the organization
of these meetings from Jim Ulvestad. 

	Several Users reported progress with using AIPS++ for
their areas of concentration. Some problems seem to exist with
calibration and editing. These were noted and will be delt with
on a case by case basis. Everyone wanted to continue working in
the same areas. 

	An AIPS++ release will occur next month. The AIPS++
group is concentrating on fixing known bugs in preparation for
the release and have suspended new development until the release.
Discussion occurred on the wisdom of sending out CD's of this
new release. A good compromise seems to be to include a brief,
printed summary with the CD of which parts of AIPS++ are recommended 
for use and which parts the AIPS++ group thinks are not ready yet.

	After the release, a new development cycle will start. We
will have a meeting to discuss the plans for the next six
months and for the Users to make suggestions: April 16th at 1pm MT,
3pm ET. 

	It has proven impossible to find a time for a video conference
for this meeting. Thus if the CV people want to take part they need to
call into 505-835-7370.
