Turns out that there was some leftover setup stuff in my .glishrc from a previous incarnation of aips++. Tim removed that file, only needed now for people who want to do fancy customization stuff in aips++. Used the catalog tool to bring up some images that I made. The viewer is pretty nice. Once you get used to them the pull down statistics and region selection features are quite nice. Too bad the statistics don't go into the logger. You can copy them to the clipboard, but I haven't been able to figure out how to view the clipboard contents so that is not so useful. Now to tackle polarimetry: TTT> Tried to start up the calibrater tool. No go. Caught exception: AipsIO::getend: part of object not read Failed to restore previous values for inputs Now trying to start up in daily: This works ok. Ran calibrater and solved for the d-terms. Results look more or less reasonable. Applied corrections and then fired up visplot. TTT> Many needed functions in visplot are greyed out. Looks like this is under development. So now I'm going back to stable to try and use visplot there. Bug AOCso01605 BBB> can't get visplot to start up in stable Failed to restore previous values for inputs Failed to restore previous values for inputs Failed to restore previous values for inputs Failed to restore previous values for inputs tried from glish: myvisplot:=visplot(msfile="try3.ms", edit=F) Caught an exception!
