Hi! Welcome to my web-world. I am Nirupam Roy, presently a postdoctoral research scholar (Jansky Fellow) at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) at Socorro, New Mexico, USA. My current research interests are temperature, structure and dynamics of the interstellar medium, HI spectroscopy and polarization, radio astronomy techniques, and interstellar medium turbulence.

In 2003 I got my B. E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bengal Engineering College (now Bengal Engineering and Science University), Shibpore, India. After that I joined the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Pune, India as a research scholar. There I worked with my thesis supervisor Prof. Jayaram N. Chengalur to complete my M. Sc. (Physics) in 2005 followed by Ph. D. (Physics) in 2009. My thesis work was on the physics of the interstellar medium of the Milky Way Galaxy.
