These recordings were made live from 3 overhead ceiling microphoness,
the podium microphone and the wireless speaker's microphone mixed into 2 channels.
They were then digitially recorded as a .wav file directly onto the hard drive of a
pc computer using the Spin Doctor software (part of the Easy CD Creator suite by Roxio).
These large raw audio files (each minute is about a Megabyte of memory) were then compressed
into .mp3 format and copied onto a CD-R immediately after each talk.
They were then processed by expanding back into .wav files and edited with the Soundblaster
Wave Studio program. This allowed balancing and mixing of the 2 channels into a single mono track.
It was also possible to boost the volume levels of low speaking people and attenuate loud events (laughter, clapping, etc.).
It was also possible to completely edit out coughs, sneezes, rustling of papers & books, microphone
bumps and the like where they did not overlap on speech.
I also took the liberty to eliminate pauses and extraneous "ahs" and "ers" where possible to hopefully create a
better flowing presentation and shorten the listening time.
Once edited, eash session's .wav file was recompressed back into .mp3 format and burned onto the CD-R
As noted, the Thursday Morning session is not available as the master CD-R because delaminated
(the Al substrate seperated from the plastic) and I was not able to recover a useful file. My sincere apologies
The Master Conference cd was recorded using the Easy CD Creator program.

All the photos were generously made available via the world-wide web from the individuals credited.
I used the same .html files from their web sites to display the photos album style; only modifing
the links. I took the liberty to enhance the full size photos (but not the thumbnails) to contrast stretch,
brighten and remove redeye where possible.
The original versions of the photos are still available on their respective web sites.
