Related Programs

This section briefly describes other programs that may be of use when using SCHED. The descriptions of SKEDCONV, PC-SCHED, and UPTIME have been removed as they are no longer in use. That leaves only the geodetic scheduling program SKED which is still the primary tool for scheduling geodetic project.

SKED
Originally the scheduling program for Mark III, SKED is now the standard program for scheduling geodetic VLBI observations. It produces SKED or drg files that are converted to snap files by DRUDG. It also produces VLBA control files for geodetic projects. It has sophisticated automatic scheduling capabilities, well beyond what is available in the optimization modes of SCHED, for geodetic projects. Contact the GSFC VLBI group for more information.
