Release of 30 January 2001.
This was an emergency release to fix the problem with the Doppler
calculations when using the automatic reference pointing scan
insertion. This problem would be fatal for schedules using spectral
line sources and AUTOPEAK. Given that most reference pointing
sources are line sources, this means most 86 GHz projects on the VLBA.
Other types of projects are not affected.
- Specify in the sch files that frequencies are LO sum.
- Make SKEDCONV available to users in a separate tar
file. It seems there are some who still like to use the
interactive PC-SCHED to set up scans. 22 Jan 2001 RCW.
- Replace tape start time with ``Stopped'' in sch file for
scans with no tape motion. 29 Jan 2001 RCW.
- Fix bug where the routine that calculates Doppler frequencies
was looping over input, not output scans.
This is an old bug, but would only be noticed in line observations
using the more obscure OPTMODEs. But it now affects most users
of the new AUTOPEAK facility. This will require a SCHED
update. 29 Jan 2001 RCW
- Fix bug in counting of tape stoppages when there are non-recording
scans. A variable was indexed to station number, not scan
number. 30 Jan 2001 RCW
- Change the line names in peak.cmd to avoid possible conflict
with user defined names and make 4 reference frequencies for
the 4 channels in the pointing setup files. Two of those
channels are meant to be off the line so difference power
can be used for reference pointing some day (it already is
in pointing test runs). 30 Jan 2001. RCW
- Update comments on reference pointing in the 3mm example files.
Due to an oversite, these were not updated for the 12Jan2001
release and some of the information was out of date or
incomplete. 30 Jan 2001. RCW
- Accumulate and report both total time in scans and total time
in recording scans. 30 Jan 2001. RCW.
- Make a number of corrections to the eg3mm examples. 30 Jan 2001
RCW.
