They can be downloaded through: http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~ewine/hifi_intensity.pdf http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~ewine/hifi_calplan.pdf http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~ewine/hifi_cal_sources.pdf http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~ewine/hifi_obsmodes.pdf http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~ewine/hifi_spat_resp.ps Please note that these documents are still in a preliminary state, and still need to be checked carefully, like several of the ALMA documents. General information about HIFI can be found at: http://www.sron.rug.nl/hifiscience/ See in particular the "White paper on preparations for Herschel", which will be discussed in the session on Wednesday December 18. Relevant ALMA Memos include these, listed by Bryan Butler: Yun et al., Accurate Amplitude and Flux Calibration of the MMA, MMA memo 211, 1998 memo 211 gives a somewhat outdated view, but is the first one that gave a relatively complete description of the amplitude calibration problem (ignoring some issues like bandpass, focus, delay, etc..., but at least pretty complete on the rest). this *was* the standard for the MMA project, at the time. you might exclude this one, but it forms a good historical basis. i leave it up to you. Plambeck, Receiver amplitude calibration for ALMA, ALMA memo 321, 2000 memo 321 is really the basis for all further receiver amplitude calibration scheme memos (423 & 434, e.g.). Moreno & Guilloteau, An Amplitude Calibration Strategy for ALMA, ALMA memo 372, 2002 currently the most comprehensive discussion of the entire problem. Guilloteau, The Vane Calibration System Revisited, ALMA memo 423, 2002 the most current discussion of the semi-transparent vane technique Mangum, Load Calibration at Millimeter and Submillimeter Wavelengths, ALMA memo 434, 2002 the most current discussion of the dual-load technique These Memos have been reviewed, with comments to be found for the reviews received listed at: http://www.cv.nrao.edu/~awootten/mmaimcal/3dec02.html
