Notes from the meeting of May 7. B. Sahr says that the ThreadX-Interniche-Greenhills combo is anxious to compete with Nucleus. They say that the Win32 port for ThreadX exists and "should" integrate with the Interniche stack easily, so they believe they can offer essentially the same services (except for a target shell), for slightly less money and considerably less RAM. He will continue to investigate and evaluate. Discussions of development environments. B. Clark likes CVS, hopes it can be the fundamental repository of all source code. W. Koski and G. Peck in general like Windows IDEs. It was noted that there is quite a spread of quality amongst Windows IDEs - there are some nice ones out there and there are some holy terrors. The Unix DEs seem to be much less Integrated, which is good or bad, depending on personal preferences. (It was noted that the Tornado IDE has not been used here, though we have it. But not much is going on in vxWorks at the moment.) Documentation. W. Koski is moving the TC11IB documentation to /home/evla/techdocs/monctrl/TC11IB W. Sahr has put the RTOS documentation in /home/asg/evla/doc/vendor/ Short of another major reorganization of the disk structures, it might help be a little less confusing if somebody with techdocs membership would put in a link so that /home/asg/evla/doc could also be accessed as /home/evla/techdocs/asg
