Presentation instructions

Talk instructions

  • Talks will be either 15 minutes, including questions (12 + 3 minutes), or 10 minutes, including questions (8 + 2 minutes). Your assigned duration will be confirmed in the final agenda.
  • A macOS laptop will be provided as the default presentation computer. Supported formats will include PowerPoint for Mac, PDF, and Keynote.
  • Speakers may present from their own laptops if they have spacial animation or video.
  • We request that speakers upload their talks in advance so they can be made available online on the day of the Symposium. Advance upload is particularly important for presentations containing movies, special fonts, or other features that may not work correctly on another computer.
  • The presentation-upload deadline, FTP instructions, and contact information will be provided by email. Speakers who would like their presentations tested should upload them by the stated deadline and notify the organizers.
  • To help ensure a welcoming environment, all presenters must follow the NRAO Code of Conduct.

Poster instructions

  • Poster boards will be either 48 × 60 inches in landscape orientation or 65 × 47 inches in portrait orientation. The safest option is to prepare a poster no longer than 47 inches in either direction. Please ask the organizers where your poster should be displayed.
  • Please put up your poster as soon as you arrive. Two extended coffee breaks (and lunch break) will provide participants with time to view the posters. Posters must be removed by 5:30 PM on the day of the Symposium.
