There are three Defcon 1 loaner notebook security systems available for NRAO purchased Notebooks. The systems have the following features:
When activated, the alarm sounds if it detects motion or if the cable is cut. Like any security system however, the alarm only acts as a deterrent. It is the user's responsibility to keep a laptop secure and not rely completely on the alarm. To reserve a security system, contact Gayle Rhodes in room 267 at the AOC.
