There are six lines in Socorro on a rotary switch. Dial (505)835-7010 to get any of them. You get connected to the SOCORRO DDS -- take it from there. Modem protocol is Bell 212 only so you should set your modem (or PC terminal emulator) to: 1200 or 2400 baud, no parity, 8bit, 1 stop bit. For those of you with high-speed (up to 28.8Kbaud) modems at home, the AOC now has four modems capable of accepting these connections. The number to dial is (505)835-7061. They are connected directly to the Annex (the DDS cannot handle connections at these speeds). The Annex supports SLIP (serial-line IP) and PPP (point-to-point protocol) connections over these lines; see the Network Administrator for information if your home system supports these and you are interested.
