The following gives revised
procedures to be followed when there is trouble with any of the computer
systems at NRAO-NM. If it is unclear whether the problem is related to
software or hardware, the software experts should be called first. Only
in the case of a clear hardware fault should the hardware people be
called. The people should be contacted in the order given (i.e. call
number 1 first).
Computer Support Telephone Numbers
Both hardware and software are fully
supported on a 24 hour basis.
Calls for help should be placed by the array operator on duty to the
appropriate person. However, calls should be placed only when necessary
to prevent lost data.

The other main computer systems are fully supported 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on
Monday to Friday. A lower level of support is provided at other times and on
holidays. Calls for assistance should be placed to the Help Desk, Ext. 7213, or to the appropriate person in the
priority order listed below.
If power has been off in the AOC Computer Room for more than 1/2 hour
and if no one has shown up to restore power, then contact or call someone on the list
below. DO NOT THROW ANY SWITCHES ON COMPUTERS OR ATTEMPT TO RESTORE POWER BY YOURSELF!!
