The High Time Resolution Survey for Pulsars and Transients

I will describe a new survey for fast pulsars and transients at the Parkes radio telescope in New South Wales that has discovered a large number of millisecond pulsars and RRATs. This survey has highlighted a number of issues with data transport and processing, and discovered some exotic stars, including a magnetar, an eclipsing millisecond pulsar, and a pulsar with a Jupiter-mass companion.
