This talk will review several aspects of local recent star formation, including stellar clustering, the initial mass function, accretion disk lifetimes, post-accretion systems, and the search for exo-solar planets. High dispersion optical spectroscopy from 1.5-10m telescopes will be the featured common theme of my latest results.
