Radio Supernovae

I will present a review of current research on radio supernovae (RSNe). I will cover how different types (classed optically) behave in the radio, and how this meshes with current theories of pre-supernova evolution of the progenitor systems. I will discuss the possible use of radio supernovae as a method of determining extragalactic distances. I will also present some preliminary results of measurements of some recent RSNe.

This work is done prinicpally in collaboration with: K. Weiler (NRL), R. Sramek (VLA), N. Panagia (STScI), and S. Van Dyk (California).
